Fall Happenings

Even though our lives are pretty uneventful right now, I figured I better post something new. So I officially welcomed in fall earlier this week by putting up my favorite wreath. I made it last year and David doesn't like it at all for some reason. Last night I told him that I was so excited for Halloween to come because as soon as it is over I get to listen to Christmas music!!! He said that I am NOT allowed to listen to any until after Thanksgiving - like that's going to happen. :-)

So recently I decided that my beta, Swimmy (I know-really creative name...), needed a wife. He was purchased for a lesson I taught to a preschool class in June and has been looking pretty depressed for a while. So my sister, Bonnie, and I went to Petco to pick out his mate. We found a bright red female beta that looked pretty healthy. We had to put a barrier between the two of them so that they didn't kill each other, but they seem to really enjoy staring at each other through the glass and Swimmy seems much happier as of late. I named his wife Scarlet Fins - I promise that I'll think of better names for our future children!

As most of you know - David has a TON of curly facial hair, which is really difficult because he used to have to shave every day to teach his classes and take tests at BYU, but since he is done with classes now he is letting it grow out for 3 or 4 days in between shaves. So he hasn't shaved since Sunday, and this morning he decided to give himself a goatee - sad that it only takes him 4 days to grow one! But I had to get a picture of it because he has an intramural football game tonight and so he has to shave it off, oh well - such is life.

I like the wreath Heather. Don't listen to David. Love you.

The ideal solution would be to make a wreath out of Dave's forcibly shaved facial hair. Let me know if you get around to making that one.
