Still Snowing...

Image
This past week it has been snowing lots here in Provo. It's crazy! I just can't wait until spring! Then it won't be so chilly and I'll be closer to having the baby! Speaking of that - we have our ultrasound scheduled for February 12th - so we only have two and a half weeks until we get to see our little baby and find out the gender!!!

First Baby Present

Image
This past Sunday, David and I went up to Brigham City to spend some time with my grandparents and a few other aunts and uncles. We recently found out that my Grandma has some serious and unexpected health problems, so they will not be going on their mission. She will have to undergo a very serious operation and some other rigorous treatments. We are hoping that she will be able to recover and feel well again soon. Although she hasn't been very well, she still managed to finish a baby blanket for her very first great grandchild. I am very excited about it, and it is even more special to me knowing how difficult it was for her to get it finished. Thanks Grandma!

Coaching Basketball

Image
A Time-Out Pep Talk David coaches a Junior Jazz basketball team with the help of his friend Joe as an assistant coach. One of his team members is his little brother Benjy, so they get to spend quality time together at their Wednesday practices and during their Saturday morning games. I finally made it to a game this last Saturday and it was a little intense for me - I told David I might not be able to come to any more because it stressed me out so much. :) The two teams were just a point or two apart the whole time. It was a good ending though when our team won 31 to 30. I was also really impressed because David is a very intense and competitive person, and he did so well at positively motivating his team and all the players had a really great time. David & Benjy

Hair Cut

Image
I came home during my lunch break yesterday to find David in the bathroom styling his short, ringlet-free hair. I almost started crying. He always does this to me - he will grow it out for 6 months or so and just as I'm getting really attached to his curly locks, he will randomly cut it all the way off without telling me. It is SO heartbreaking - although he does look especially handsome with short hair. :-) BEFORE AFTER

Second Trimester!

Image
Well, I made it through the first trimester. I am 15 weeks along as of yesterday (3.5 months), and although I'm not feeling great yet, I think I'm slowly getting over the morning sickness. I'm also starting to show a little - I've lost my waist line, and my stomach has a little bulge. I still don't look pregnant though, just like I'm out of shape. :-) We will be able to find out the gender in a month from now - yay!

New Year's Eve 2007

Image
New Year's Eve is our *engagement anniversary* - it's been 3 whole years! It's crazy how time flies. The evening was fun even though we didn't go on a romantic date or anything. We had a nice dinner in SJ with the Peterson family and then played Balderdash for a while. My mom bought a foosball table earlier that day, so the boys started a tournament that lasted from about 10pm until 1am. The funny thing was that my mom wanted them to move the table to the basement, but they were too involved in the game, so they played in the front entrance of my parent's home for the whole night. It was fun because the girls sat on the stairs like they were bleachers and watched for a while. At midnight, I was actually downstairs with my mom looking through old photographs of her when she was pregnant and just after I was born (trying to get an idea of what I'm going to look like soon!) Even though David and I weren't together then, he ran down to give me a kiss at midnight...
