Tay = 3!!!

Image
My baby just turned 3 on Saturday! He was so excited for his birthday this year. He has been talking it for a few months. He would say, "It's not my birthday yet" and "don't peek at the presents!" all of the time. He was so sweet and patient to wait through my birthday, David's birthday, our anniversary, Kyla's birthday, Mother's Day, and Father's Day - all with presents for other people. Even for his birthday he wanted Kyla to have a present too, so we wrapped one for her to open. He is such a natural sweetheart! I think I was just as excited as he was for his birthday to finally come. The night before I told him that I didn't want him to get any older and to just stay 2. He giggled and said, "I wanna be 3! I want a party!" *** He woke up so happy and excited.  We had donuts and chocolate milk for breakfast at his request.   We opened presents next and then went mini-golfing.   We had lunch at Red Lobster and Taylor wanted th...

Provo to Denver Flight!

David's Aunt Margaret was invited to fly on the inaugural flight from the Provo Airport into Denver this past week.  We loved getting to spend a couple of hours with her in downtown Denver.  It was so nice of her to spend her free time with us!

White Rock & Los Alamos

Image
Last weekend we headed to White Rock, NM to visit my Uncle Darry and Aunt Carol and to attend my cousin Brian's farewell.  We wanted to be extra supportive since he is headed to Russia! It was really sunny so I look silly, but this is the cool lookout near their home:  I accidentally matched Taylor - even our shoes were the same color:  We had a wonderful tour of White Rock and Los Alamos from the Peterson Fam. Our kids learned that they love museums (because they had toys...) Someone thought my Uncle Dale was a descendant of one of the men at the history museum-haha!  Our kids really loved Uncle Darry:  And David had a wonderful Father's Day!  All of us:  Kyla really loves Shepard, she always smiles and squeals at him when she sees him:

Colorado Rain

Image
  One of the reasons that we like Colorado Springs is that it is so nice and green.  This is largely due to the rainstorms that come most afternoons, but not this year - it's been really dry.  We finally had our first real rainstorm last week, and we went outside as it was tapering off to enjoy it!   Taylor picked out his hat & put it on, he said he wanted to do it "all myself  " :)

Lunch Break

Image
David's takes his Bar Prep Course & spends his study time downtown at Colorado College.  We met him for lunch the other day to help break up the monotony of memorizing for him.  We also got to spend a little time on the nice green grass.

Zoo Pass!

Image
 A zoo pass means we get to keep going to our favorite zoo!  We discovered these fun eggs this last visit: Shepard & Romolo were thrilled when I had them pose in the eggs too:  Taylor really like bunnies lately.  He was excited to see this fluffy one in the middle of one of the playground areas:  I wore all the kids out!
