Temples

Image
I'm enjoying my last few months in Utah and how close so many temples  are!  Last week I went to the Provo temple to do some family names with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law, Marie.  It was so wonderful to be there. This last week, we went to the Brigham City Temple Open House .  It was gorgeous inside and was a wonderful experience for the kids.  They both really loved the 12 oxen under the baptismal font. My Grandpa & his wife, Sharon, were nice enough to watch Lilia for me and also fed us a delicious lunch afterwards!

Current Situation

Image
I am really behind on blogging - I have a LOT of posts that I need to back-date.  But, I've had lots of questions about what our current situation is, so I decided to finally blog about it. The last 16 months have been crazy and filled with many unknowns, ups and downs, and lots of prayers!  April 2011: David graduated from BYU and we moved to Colorado for him to take the Bar and intern with the U.S. Air Force Academy in the JAG (lawyer) office. October 2011: He was accepted (finally!) into the JAG Corps (this is an active duty position) and we decided to move back to Provo to wait for his job to begin. ***Long time of waiting/stress/instability/etc...*** May 2012: We learned that our first assignment will be at Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls, MT! July 2012: David took the Oath of Office, issued by his cousin Kurt Liechty. August 2012: David began Commisioned Officer Training (COT) in Montgomery, AL, this will be followed by JaSOC (a training for lawyers ...

Lilia @ 4 Months

Image
Our precious little Lilia is already 4 months old! Stats: Height: 23.75" (33%) Weight: 9lbs 13.2oz (way below the chart) She is absolutely adored by her siblings and she adores them right back.  It's so much fun for me to watch!   I love this cute babe! About Lilia: -She loves her pacifier and anything else she can get into her mouth to suck on. -She is very aware and always alert and taking everything in with her big and beautiful blue eyes. -She has some tummy troubles and spits up a lot, but it's starting to improve. -She smiles and coos very sweetly whenever we talk to her. -She only takes naps in her swing. -She sleeps through the night and has for a couple of months - bless her!!! I'm so grateful for this little sweetheart!

3 Months!

Our sweet baby "Leela"...Lilia is already 3 months old! She is my first skinny baby, it's weird! She is just this little tiny, petite, non-chubby baby. At her 2 month appointment she weighed 8lbs 13oz. She is still a little colicky, but she has the prettiest smile and big, bright blue eyes. She coos a lot and is starting to experiment with all sorts of other sounds too.   She loves her older siblings, and they love her and love to help with her too. I couldn't ask for a better sibling dynamic. They both love to take care of her and entertain her and give her hugs and kisses. She is so lucky to be so loved! She sometimes cries a lot... First time in her swimsuit! Sisters!!!  (They look nothing alike...Lilia is a mini, skinny, girly version of Tay.) This is the only way she is happy in the car...with the pacifier rigged so it won't fall out.  We sure do love this little angel!!!

Bear Lake & the Rex Reunion

Image
Our friends, Joe & Catherine Pututau, were so nice and invited us to stay overnight at their time share on Bear Lake.  We had a ton of fun! My family was having a reunion at Bear Lake at the same time.  It worked out well that they overlapped since we didn't want to camp with Lilia.  It was nice to spend some time with my mom's Rex family.  Only my mom and little brother were there to represent our family. :) David surprised us on the way home with a stop in Evanston at the Uintah County Fair - our first county fair of the season! :) Lilia's first county fair! Delicious rootbeer:  All tuckered out:

Hiking the Y

David took Taylor and Kyla hiking with our friends, the Hains, on Memorial Day. He always makes fun of me for wearing the baby bjorn... Well, here he is trying it out for the first time, ha ha! The Hains Family - friends from law school. Carrying both kids :) They made it!

No Girls Allowed!

A couple of weeks ago, David and Taylor took a 'boys only' trip to California for a few days.  David's sister and her family just bought a house and David wanted to help paint.  Taylor got to go and play with cousins.  He was so excited to go on a trip that was 'just for the boys!' He was up early and ready to get going! Apparently he spent a lot of time using these in the car - I'm so glad I threw them in last minute! They stopped in Vegas for lunch with one of David's friends from law school - Leland Faux. So excited to see Christopher! A fort! David helped Chris tear out flooring, tape, paint, etc... Luckily they got in some beach time too: A bike ride on the beach - it sounds wonderful! David with his sisters. I guess Sara found Taylor like this one night - haha! I love the cute cousin pictures David took!  Christopher is hilarious! Becky helped for a bit too. Totally posing... :) Talkin...
