Little Brother Engaged!

Image
Thomas proposed to his girlfriend Brenda Roga this week.  We had a lot of fun preparing for his proposal - we set up a fun candle light dinner for them and totally decked the room out in lights and tea candles.  He told her he was babysitting for us, and then surprised her when she stopped by to pick him up. They are getting married on August 18 in the Salt Lake City Temple.

St. Patty's Day

Green cream of wheat and green milk for breakfast: (Tay asks for cream of wheat almost every morning.)  Green Clothes:  Cute Kisses!  (After being bribed for a bunch of pictures with fruit snacks.)

Ouch!

Last Sunday, Kyla fell on the gravel in the road while walking to church.  She bled a lot.  Instead of 3 hours at church, we spent 3 hours in the ER getting asphalt and dead tissue cleaned out  - they can't stitch underneath your lower lip, it won't hold.  It was so sad!  She had a rough day.  So did we.   This is the 2nd major lip injury she has had in a couple of months.  The first one required stitches on the bottom lip.  Luckily the swelling went down quickly and her lip is pretty much healed.  She still has a plugged up nose, so we need to take her back to make sure there isn't a hematoma, hopefully she won't have any lasting affects.  Poor little girl.  She seems much more accident prone than Taylor, who hasn't had much more than scrapes and bruises.

Vegas!

I flew to Vegas for a fun long weekend of much-needed catching up time with my best friends/college roommates - Jamie and Tashina.  Tash lives in Vegas and Jamie flew in from Seattle.  It was a fun and relaxing weekend.   We slept in, took naps, read, talked, painted nails, etc... We also had some delicious dinners, went bowling, went to the Bodies exhibit & the Titanic exhibit at the Luxor, and to the movie "Gone".  It was all so much fun.  Thanks girls!  AND - Thank you David for watching the kids for 3 whole days.  They did some fun stuff and took way more pictures than I did. :)  While I was enjoying the 70 degree weather in Vegas, they were sledding with cousin Asher!  They also got in some good playing time with Grandma Cindy: My 3 favorite people:   David did an awesome job with the kids and they loved spending so much time with him, but I about died seeing pictures of Kyla's hair-hah...

Leaping out of February!

I came downstairs and found Taylor like this one night around 9:30 - he was supposed to be sleeping, instead he was trying on clothes from my pajama drawer.  I couldn't stop laughing. :) Kyla loves hiding in little cupboard spaces: Fun with Daddy: Love these two together! Kyla wouldn't let go of Uncle Benjy for about 5 minutes as he was leaving the other night: With Grandma @ the Bean Museum: Taylor's favorite animal there - the giraffe is on the top right: This kid always sneaks in our bed at night!  (David took this around 1am...ridiculous!!!) A fun picnic lunch! With Uncle Daniel & Grandpa: Kyla LOVES taking care of her baby: Tay's cute new church outfit: She has been doing this for a LONG time - like since this summer.  But lately she insists on going a lot more frequently and sometimes sits there for so long, so I now have an Ensign sitting nearby to pass the time... :) Kyla's favorite part of the...

St. Valentine's Day 2012

Image
We kicked off the week with a special Valentine's dessert that Grandma Cindy made to go with Sunday Dinner: Marie and I made sugar cookies with the kids on Monday:  I got balloons and a few little treats and things for Taylor & Kyla when they came up for breakfast:  They seemed excited.  There was also a surprise from David waiting for me (on the left!):  Chocolate before breakfast is always a great way to start the day...  Kyla loving the balloon and her new "pretties":  Taylor eating a 'heart-shaped' (I didn't do such a great job making them look like hearts...) pancake: David and I actually went to lunch because he has a crazy schedule and couldn't be home in the evening.  So I had an OB appointment mid-morning...everything looked healthy with baby Lilya, and then I picked up David and we had a quick lunch at a little Asian place on Center Street that we really love. When ...
