Grandmother

My sweet Grandmother passed away last Sunday, September 14, around 3:00pm after a 9-month battle with a brain tumor. She was just 69. Although I am glad that she is no longer in pain, it still sad and upsetting that she is gone. I expected her to be with us for another 20 years at least because she has always been so healthy. I am glad that she was able to fight the tumor long enough to meet Taylor and also to see lots of family at reunions this summer. She loved doing family history work and making connections with people. She loved serving a mission with my Grandfather, but missed her family terribly. They were supposed to leave for another mission earlier this year, and she kept on preparing for it throughout her fight with cancer in hopes that she would get over it and they would still be able to go. I will miss her so much and am incredibly grateful for the Plan of Salvation so that we can see and live with her again.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandma passing away, but like you said, what comfort it is to know where she has gone and what eternal life and the Gospel has in store! It's awesome that you have great pictures of her and your grandpa together, what a loss it is for him, I hope that he is finding comfort and strength at this time. Our prayers are with you!

Heather, I am so sorry. What a beautiful obituary for your grandma that was in the Tribune! It is obvious she was loved deeply and will be sorely missed by her family. I am so glad too that she was able to meet Taylor. I hope you and your family (especially your mom) are doing okay. Although the knowledge the Gospel brings eases the pain more than we can imagine, it is still hard. And of course it would be sad if her passing didn't affect you all. Know that we love you and are thinking of you!

I'm so sorry to hear about that Heather. It's really interesting thought... my good friend's dad passed away that same day, from a brain tumor.

I'm glad to see you got to be with family though.... hope all else is well.
