Taylor is Here!

David 'Taylor' Dayton III joined our family on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 5:06 pm.
He weighed in at 8lbs 1oz and 19 inches long - I can't believe that big of a baby was in me!
The labor & delivery went really well considering what we women go through to bring these sweet little spirits into the world. He was very awake and alert for the first hour while we just got to hold and feed him. He kept staring around with his huge, bright eyes in wonder and amazement at the new world around him.

It took a long time for them to get him back to me once I was in the room because there were LOTS of babies born at UVRMC this week. David got to got with him though while they gave him a sponge bath and all of that fun stuff.We just got home this afternoon and are loving every single moment with our sweet little son - we just can't stop staring at him!

He's adorable! Congratulations ... this is steph's friend sarah by the way. I've got a few more weeks left myself and can't wait until he's out of me so i can take him home and not have a crazy creature in my belly!

Anyway, congrats and he's super cute!

YAY, he's here! I hope the first few weeks go well for you. It looks like you've had a great start and that's a blessing! I'm so happy to see all of you are doing well. I remember being amazed that an 8 lb baby was inside of me, too. Isn't it incredible how we get these babies here?! I am so excited for you.

Yeah for the Daytons!!! Congrats on your new babe! How are you doing/recovering? I actually am in town for only a few more days...do you guys need anything? Dinner? A nap? Dishes done? Oh my word. Could he be more perfect? Usually babies are really ugly right when they come out, but not yours! He is such a good mix between you two. I can't wait to meet him in person. You are such a trooper Heather! GOOD JOB! We love you guys. Let us know if we can do anything for you.

Heather I've been checking this as much as possible to see when he got here! I am sooooooooo happy for you guys!!! He's such a cutie! I love all the dark hair!!
