Baby Room & More

Last week we cleared all of our school supplies and random other things out of the spare bedroom so that we could put all of the baby stuff away. It is kind of sad because we will be moving mid-August, so he won't live in there for long. That's okay though because we didn't want to put the crib together just to take it down, and the dresser/changing table that we want (the one that matches the crib) is back-ordered, so we can't get it now anyway. So - we are using our desk as a changing table, a Pack-N-Play for his crib, and then just a regular dresser for all of his cute little clothes and stuff. Plus, the room also has a book shelf and a bunk bed in it, so it's pretty packed. It's not an adorable little nursery, but it's exciting to have everything all ready for him and smelling like clean baby detergent!

Here's a picture of the organization process, and then after we got everything all cleaned, set-up, and put away (They're taken from two different directions - so you probably can't even tell that it's the same room, haha!)

I also got a pedicure in preparation for going into the hospital - then at least one part of me can look presentable after having a baby :)

(And yes - those are sandal lines on my foot from wearing flip-flops for less than 5 minutes - I swear my feet are about 3 times their normal size from water retention - the joys of pregnancy!)

Non-Baby Events in the last week:

We made my mother-in-law a Birthday dinner, David concocted the whole menu and we both cooked. It was delicious! My favorite was the homemade mushroom soup, but everything was wonderful!

We've also hung out a lot with my sister and her boyfriend, Ian, lately. Ian is David's friend from high school, and they also both served Russian missions and had lots of classes together at BYU - David set them up with each other last year.

Since Ian is in the Air Force and is being stationed in Texas (he left today), we got him a goodbye present - a sweatshirt with his last name on it! He always makes fun of David for having University of Dayton shirts, so now he can't anymore, haha!
