A Quarter of a Century
David had a very important birthday last week - he turned 25...I can't believe that he has been around for a quarter of a century already! Anyway, he didn't have a very good birthday. He flew out to visit the University of Michigan Law school on Tuesday and was supposed to fly back on Wednesday night, but his first flight was delayed and he missed his connecting flight. So - he spent Wednesday night in a hotel and got back home around noon on his birthday.
That would have been fine except he was supposed to drive to Nevada for work that day and they had planning to leave around 4:00am - so he left around 1:30pm instead and had to spend the night there and didn't get back until Friday after 4:00pm. I saw him on my lunch break for about 20 minutes when he ran in the house, opened a few presents that I'd left out, had some lunch, and grabbed his bag that I'd packed for his trip to Nevada. So he basically spent his birthday traveling/working and spent the night alone in a hotel. SO SAD! He was actually a really good sport about it - but I was pretty sad for him.
I didn't think I'd see him on his birthday, so I just left a cake, card, and some presents for him on the counter.
His stuff all ready to go by the door.

On to the rest of the weekend...so as soon as David got back on Friday, he jumped in the shower and we left to go to St. George for his cousin Lexi's wedding and reception. Poor guy - he was sooo exhausted.
David's sisters, cousin Russ, and me riding in one of the golf carts that took people from their cars up to the reception in their amazing backyard.
At the St. George Temple after the sealing on Saturday.
David's cute sisters.

Mother's Day 2008: My First One!!!
David gave me a beautiful new set of nice jewelery...and surprised me by getting the bracelet (that I was sure he wasn't going to get because I hate to spend that much on jewelery...) Anyway - he is SUCH a sweetheart! I'm excited to be a mom in just a few more weeks!
