Hiking the Y

Image
David took Taylor and Kyla hiking with our friends, the Hains, on Memorial Day. He always makes fun of me for wearing the baby bjorn... Well, here he is trying it out for the first time, ha ha! The Hains Family - friends from law school. Carrying both kids :) They made it!

No Girls Allowed!

A couple of weeks ago, David and Taylor took a 'boys only' trip to California for a few days.  David's sister and her family just bought a house and David wanted to help paint.  Taylor got to go and play with cousins.  He was so excited to go on a trip that was 'just for the boys!' He was up early and ready to get going! Apparently he spent a lot of time using these in the car - I'm so glad I threw them in last minute! They stopped in Vegas for lunch with one of David's friends from law school - Leland Faux. So excited to see Christopher! A fort! David helped Chris tear out flooring, tape, paint, etc... Luckily they got in some beach time too: A bike ride on the beach - it sounds wonderful! David with his sisters. I guess Sara found Taylor like this one night - haha! I love the cute cousin pictures David took!  Christopher is hilarious! Becky helped for a bit too. Totally posing... :) Talkin...

Lee-La

Our pretty little 'Lee-la" (as Kyla calls her) is 4 weeks old today.  I am working on adjusting to life with 3 - it is getting more manageable each day!  Taylor and Kyla adore her and want to give her a little more attention than she can handle, but I'm glad that they are so excited about their baby sister: She likes to be held...all the time.  As much as I would love to just sit and cuddle her all day long, thats pretty difficult with 3 kids age 3 and under. :) Yes, I am one of "those" moms - as David says. Sometimes I have to strap her to me to get anything else done!  (Don't Judge...) We just absolutely adore our cute little baby girl!!! At 3 weeks she was 7lbs 6oz and almost 21 inches long.  She has also had more sickness than my other two babies - a full body rash, a rectal tear, thrush, a stuffy nose, and an eye infection - all in 3.5 weeks of life! She's strong!  She got so m...

Mother's Day

Image
My sweet mother-in-law made this for me with my kids' hands and feet - impressive! I am definitely framing it!  I had a wonderful Mother's Day this year.  Everything is sweeter with a little newborn around. :) David got up with Taylor and Kyla and made me a delicious steak & eggs breakfast. I got to watch my adorable little boy singing for the first time with the primary in sacrament meeting.  He looked right at me almost the whole time and had a huge grin on his face as he excitedly sang "Mother, I love you, I love you, I do!"  It was precious.   David had organized a group of 4 men singing a musical number and it was SO good.   After church we drove up to South Jordan to see my Mom.  David made Steak Stroganoff - my fav - and I made a huge spinach salad - my mom's fav!     Naps in the car. My mom wrote me a very sweet card, gave me some cute argyle socks, and helped Taylor and Kyla pick these gorgeous Peonies for me...

Ky-Sue is 2!

Kyla turned 2 today!  I think she is still too tiny to be that old. :)  However, she kept telling me that it was her birthday and she was turning 3, haha! A birthday call from Grandma. I was trying to get a good picture of her hair - her cute natural curls and her bows that I made. I wanted them to look like the curly ribbons on presents, I like how they turned out. :) Chocolate for breakfast...thanks Grandma Cindy! She was pretty excited about it being her birthday. :) We went to Chuck-E-Cheese after naptime.  Grandpa bought pizza and a Princess cake for her, plus gave her an adorable outfit...she was spoiled by him! She was a little nervous at first. (There IS a giant crazy-looking mouse walking around...*shudder*) The cake - so cute! I love my sweet baby girl! She really just wanted to ride on things instead of playing any games. :) Taylor had a blast with Uncle Daniel! The only thing I really like to play. :) She...
