AFA Picnic

Image
A couple of weeks ago we went to a picnic at the Academy.  Taylor loved all of the carnival-type games they had set up for the little kids.  Taylor always helps Kyla around and keeps her from running off.  So sweet!

Our Little Dancers

We are going to be teaching some ballroom classes and tonight we took the kids to the studio for the first time.  They loved watching the class and then had a blast dancing together afterwards.   Taylor was so cute, when we got there he said, "Otay!  I ready to watch Tyla on the side!"  (Such a good helper!) Then as he was watching, he took off his shoes and put on my jazz shoes and said, "Mommy, I'm ready to dance with you!"  As we left, he had his arms up in dance position and was spouting off, "forward, left, then together."  Kyla was just excited to be there. :)  Both of them loved it.

Moved Again!

My uncle is getting married, so last weekend we moved out of his basement and into an apartment.  We are still waiting on some jobs that could be out of town, so we had to really search to find a short lease & we finally found one for 3 months with the option to extend if we stay.  I don't know if I can handle moving again in just 3 months, but at least we have the option just in case. We are all moved in now, but here are some pictures of the craziness.  Moving is hard for everyone...poor little Kyla has been teething molars while adjusting to a new place.  We keep having to go lay by her to get her to settle down and go back to sleep:  Before our table & chairs:  Matching shoes & toes:  Discovering a cute little walkway and playground by our apartment:  Cute Kids:  A classic Kyla face, we love it!  Finally - our table and folding chairs!!!  So cute!  Creating Art:  Kyla loves her 'bobble':

Utah!!!

On Thursday, June 30th, we made the 9 hour trek back to Utah.  It's a long drive, but so nice that we know we can get home in just a day's drive.  It was so lovely to drive back into familiar territory - even though we'd only been gone 2 months we were missing home!  We visited David's mission president (who is also my Grandma's cousin - random), and spent a little time at the Peterson home before heading to Ogden for the O'Brien Family Renuion. We were so happy to see everyone!!!  Our kids just love Uncle Benjy. :) The whole Cindy Dayton family. (Above) Aunt Jessie 'babysitting' the kids while the rest of us helped set up for a dinner: We had a family trivia gameshow night, so fun and intense! David & Taylor got the stomach flu - so so sad.  It did get David some good cuddling time though, which is a rarity. Uncle Tia & Aunt Marie brought fireworks - so sweet!  The kids loved it.  Taylor is still singing, 'Baby you're...
