Utah!!!

On Thursday, June 30th, we made the 9 hour trek back to Utah.  It's a long drive, but so nice that we know we can get home in just a day's drive.  It was so lovely to drive back into familiar territory - even though we'd only been gone 2 months we were missing home!

We visited David's mission president (who is also my Grandma's cousin - random), and spent a little time at the Peterson home before heading to Ogden for the O'Brien Family Renuion.
We were so happy to see everyone!!!  Our kids just love Uncle Benjy. :)
The whole Cindy Dayton family. (Above)
Aunt Jessie 'babysitting' the kids while the rest of us helped set up for a dinner:
We had a family trivia gameshow night, so fun and intense!
David & Taylor got the stomach flu - so so sad.  It did get David some good cuddling time though, which is a rarity.
Uncle Tia & Aunt Marie brought fireworks - so sweet!  The kids loved it.  Taylor is still singing, 'Baby you're a firework!'
I can't believe Marie is 7 months pregnant with twin girls!
At least April has the right idea here... :)
Cute matching cousins:
After the reunion, all of the men flew back home and the moms & kids stayed for an extra few day to get some more cousin time in.  We did lots of fun outside activities.
Good thing Grandma Cindy has a huge tub!  (Poor Kyla did not enjoy this...)
After David left, Kyla took off after him with one of his baseball hats and an empty bag slung around her shoulder. It was so cute!
More cousin baths!
All 7 grandkids from youngest (2 months) to oldest (3.5 years)

One afternoon Kyla was so tired that she fell asleep hugging sweet Brooklyn.  Brooklyn was just nice and accomodating and let her lay there - adorable!
We hiked the Y and about 1/3 the way up Taylor decided he didn't want to walk anymore. He didn't do so well holding on for a piggy back, so here I am carrying him up in the Baby Bjorn.  Not bad besides his feet kept hitting into my shins-hahaha!
More swimming!!!
Both Taylor and Kyla love this dump truck that used to be Uncle Dan's.  Taylor is really sweet and let's Kyla play in it whenever she wants. :)  She has crazy hair in this picture-haha!
I love this little outfit - so adorable!
Taylor got a cute haircut!

There's not enough room here for me to comment about how much I love every picture. I do love the one of Jessie babysitting. Ha ha
Ok I could seriously comment on every single picture just about but it would that would be WAAY too many words so I will pick a couple pictures - first of all oh my gosh. Taylor in the baby bjorn was hilarous!!! Hahaha. And your hair is so cute!!!!! I have wanted to cut my hair that short but I am not brave enough to do it! It looks so cute on you!
Mom looks like she is 12 or something!

Kyla's hair is so long! I love it. How does she fall asleep like that?! I don't think even in Asher's most tired state he could fall asleep like that.

The bjorn hiking picture is the best. I guess we know it can do more than the recommended weight limit if necessary, haha. That must have killed your back!

I also could comment on each picture, but I'll just sum it up by saying I love seeing the kids all together and am glad they have so much fun, cuz I sure have fun when we're together! I'm so glad we could spend time after the reunion swimming, talking, hiking, and eating!
It looks like yall had a ton of fun! How fun to have so many cousins so close in age! While all the pics are super cute, I especially love the one of the mom asleep on the couch while all the kids are playing around her. I've definitely done that before!
Your trip looks like so much fun. I just love when my kids get to play with their cousins. They love it. Looks like they were having fun in the bath. I think we are going to try to go back to Utah this year, but it is a 22 hour drive! I love the picture of Kyla asleep on the other little girl. so funny!!
