Surprise Visit

On Wednesday night, David surprised us by walking in the door!!!  We weren't planning on seeing him until mid-December, so this was a HUGE and exciting shock!  Taylor was up a bit past his bedtime and was a little confused... :)  He got really hyper and smiley and happy pretty quickly though.
Kyla missed her Daddy SO much.  Earlier in the day she had been crying and told me, "I don't want a mommy!  I just want my Daddy..."  Then when I told her we'd see him at Christmas, she said, "But I want him to see Halloween!"  It was heartbreaking, so he showed up just at the right time.
This little girl is already very different even though it's only been 6 weeks:
Our family drove the Alpine Loop together, it was gorgeous!
I loved hearing David play and sing!
The kids enjoyed getting some rambunctious throwing around time with David!
David and Lilia reconnected a bit.  She just kept staring at him like she thought she knew who he was but couldn't quite place him...
We got to go on a date to the BYU-USU game on Friday night - thanks Uncle Lynn & Aunt Marg for the tickets!
(And Grandma Cindy & Craig for babysitting)
David got to take naps with both Ky & Tay:
And got to wake up to Lilia. :)
I am so grateful for such a sweet and thoughtful husband and for a wonderful 3 days of him that we didn't know we'd have!
It's just too bad we had to go through saying goodbye all over again...sad!  At least now it's for less time!

I'm so glad for you all that he visited!! I love the pictures of him playing/sleeping with the kids and pics with you. I hope the next 2 months go fast for you all! We're excited to see you in a couple of days!
Yay!!! I'm so glad he got to surprise you and come. Now you have 1.5 months until Thanksgiving, then less than a month until you're with him for good in MONTANA! Crazy! :) David looks skinny/tan, especially in the first picture. And Ian says he likes the military cut. ;)
