Warm & Sunny California
We left Provo at 5am this past Friday to drive to Costa Mesa, CA. We took Jessie with us, Tia & Marie and the twins arrived later that evening, and Cindy and Becky were already in Cali finishing up their vacation.
We got to David's sister Sara's place a bit past 1pm Cali time.
We went straight to the beach (2 miles from their apartment!) It was so much fun to see their place and to get some much-needed fresh air and sunshine.
This was both of our kids' first time at the beach. Kyla was a little more excited about the water than Tay, but they both enjoyed the sand. (Although Kyla was covered in it and Taylor kept himself nice and clean-haha!)
Jumping pictures with Jessie:
Jess took this amazing picture of David & Tay:
And this one too:
Our family (Yes - I know I look way pregnant and I also have raccoon eyes and terrible hair from getting up too early and sitting in the car for 9+ hours...)

But David still loves me...

Kyla was just a touch sandy by the end:
We all spent the night at the Waldron's place (Chris & Sara.) Chris made us a delicious dinner, we talked and hung out until late, and then took up all their extra floor/couch/bed space for sleeping. :)
The girls went shopping Saturday morning.
Don't worry - none of us actually bought these shoes. :)
Saturday afternoon we drove about an hour to get to a joint 65th birthday party for David's Aunt Patti & Uncle Dennis (King). It was such a fabulous party and so much fun to see extended family.
David & Chris totally planned to match...just kidding :)
We left Sunday morning and the drive home was not quite as pleasant as the drive there. It's hard to lose an hour, start out later in the day, and leave Cali after only 43 hours there...but it was so worth it!!! What a fun trip!

Also, I'm amazed David could throw Jessie that high...
I love all the pictures you posted, and I love thinking about the many unposted beach pictures. Haha! So fun.
