Mid-September Utah Trip

I headed out to Utah with the kids on a Friday last month.  The 9 hour drive was way better than I expected - I left at 5am, that helped.  David flew into SLC the next Wednesday after an interview.  We had so much fun meeting our newest nieces - Adelyn and Avery, and spending time with all of the cousins.  My sister is living in SJ while her husband is deployed in Afghanistan, and all of David's sisters + their kids planned to be there for a few days at the same time.  It was a blast!  We love being with family.

*Helping/watching me pack the day before.*
*Our one stop during the drive*
*More driving...*
*Uncle Benjy took the kids on a horse, well, Kyla only lasted a few seconds...poor girl, she was terrified!*
*Swimming with all of the Dayton cousins.  The weather was perfect and the water felt so nice!*
*We made a fort at the Peterson house (it was actually an effort to soften the beam of light that the nighlight was giving off, but Tay and Ky had a blast playing in it.)*
*Kyla loving 'helping' with the twins.*
*Cousins recovering after trying to get a picture with Grandma Cindy and all of her grandkids.*
 *Kyla loves these babies!*
*Taylor making himself right at home at Grandma Cindy's house.*
*Thanksgiving Point with the Dayton Clan. (Grandma Cindy has a season pass that gets all her grandkids in free!)*
*Kyla was too worn out to enjoy any icecream afterwards.*
* More baby-lovin'!*
(She spent much of our visit saying: 'ooh babies!', 'where babies?', & 'Babies!', and spent lots of time putting pacifiers back in their mouths and kissing and hugging them.  It was precious!)
*The Utah State Fair.  We went with the Hains Family but forgot to get a picture together.*
*Thanksgiving Point with Bonnie and Asher.*
*Maybe this is Uncle Tia's secret to being the favorite...he shares his chocolate!*
*Sleeping is always hard in different places.  The 2nd picture was taken during the middle of the night on the bed where David and I were originally sleeping.  D ended up on the floor and I curled up awkwardly the wrong way to keep them from falling off the bed - long night! *
*The drive home was better since David was there.  The kids enjoyed playing with him during our stop.*
Such a fun trip home!

What a fun trip. We just made that trip as well and it took 14 hours for us. It was fun being back there in Provo though. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. Oh and I have to tell you that I love the name Kayla Marie. It was so funny b/c on our baby list we had that name for one of our "GIRL" names. Oh and who had TWINS?!! I hope she is getting SO MUCH HELP!!! They are so cute though!
