More from our Life!

Kyla found a new hang-out.  We were excited about having the DVD player behind closed doors and out of the way, but now she is more interested in playing around it than before-haha!
It's a lot easier to get in than out. :)
Tay loves reading scriptures.  He loves to play "Nephi and Lephi" and to read "all myself!"
Kyla just loves sitting on me whenever I am lying down.  I love it!
Trix are for kids!
My family never  had these as kids.  I always felt like the rabbit...
SO - when I found them for super cheap at our new favorite grocery store - Extreme Bargains (discount groceries from overstocking/being close to the expiration date, etc...), I had to get them for our kids.  As you can see, they were well-liked.  Tay loves to rock the scrunchy-face smile.
Kyla loves jam.  So does Tay.  They also love this Pepperidge Farm goldfish bread we bought for super cheap at...you guessed it...our favorite discount grocery store!
It's been bothering David that I posted pictures of the madness of moving in a while ago, but haven't put any up of it all set up and organized. So here it is! We officially bought our first (used) couch and put a cover on it that I got for $20 at Ross and had to sew up about 6 holes even though it was new. But we actually really like it.
We also made another huge furniture investment - folding chairs!  Much better than the floor and boxes we used the first week or so. :)  Anyway, here is our humble apartment minus the hall, bathroom, and kids' bedroom:
Again, he loves to be the protector and keep his little sister's hand in his all the time.  He is such a sweet older brother and she is such an adoring little sister!
Just chilling outside the apartment while we took some pictures.
Seriously - this girl has such a fantastic smile and she loves to show it off!  There have been many times I have been checking out or dealing with service people who seem grumpy and I'll notice them look up and then just start beaming after she has flashed them her pearly whites.
Kyla was so excited to wake up from her nap and see that Daddy was home this afternoon. She was even more excited that he had food that she could beg off of him...
Hanging out with Daddy is always fun.
I have been wanting to make 'I Spy' bags since Christmas and finally I just decided that today was the day.  They were really fun to make and we spent a long time playing with them afterwards.  Kyla just likes naming anything that she happens to shake into view.  Taylor really gets excited about searching and finding the objects.
I used printable fabric and took a picture of all of the actual objects inside - it worked out really well.  I let Taylor and Kyla pick out the patterns for the back.  Okay - I may have influenced Kyla's choice a LOT, but obviously not Tay's.
Anyway, I'm glad to have one more craft to check off my very long list and my kids sure seem to love them!
Taylor said to me, "You make this for me Mommy?  That's so sweet!"  He melts my heart!
"Look!  It's a sparkly thing!"

It looks like you are settled in and that grocery store sounds pretty awesome. My kids love trix too, Tommy calls them "sugary sugar balls."
She does have a perfect smile! I love it. That's nice you have a good grocery store nearby. Good job on the I spy bags. My kids love theirs too, but I didn't make theirs...
