Baby's First Birthday
Kyla turned one last week. She is still wearing 6-9 month clothes and size 2 shoes. We haven't had her 12-month check yet, but a month ago she was 26 inches and 17 lbs 10 oz. Her petite size makes it harder for me to believe she is actually 1, but then she opens that cute mouth of hers and says, "Hi Mommy!" then points to her toys and says, "baby" or "bear" and then when she gets it, she smiles and says, "Happy!" That's when I realize she REALLY is 1! She has also been saying "thank you", "pretty", "Tay Tay", "Daddy", and "Yay!" a lot. Lately she has said a lot of: "Oooh yeah!" and "Who Dat?" (I think she copied Tay on that last one.) She will copy most anything we say to her including songs. She is still so social and loves to be part of any conversation. She isn't walking yet, but stands up on her own and is very proud of herself when she does it.
Favorite Toys: books, her baby doll, stuffed animals, anything Tay is playing with.
Favorite Foods: Cheese, Yogurt, Pasta w/ a meaty sauce, Goldfish, Teddy Grahams
Favorite Drink: Milk - she loves to steal Tay's sippy cup, haha!
Favorite Things to Do: *Climbing into small spaces or behind things like the couch - she often gets stuck and yells out for us to come get her.
*She loves to give her brother hugs and kisses and pats. He gets most of the ones she gives. He loves it too. :)*Brushing her hair or trying to put bows/clips into it. She also tries to put my jewelry over her head. Girly-Girl!
*Shopping with Mom. She is still so happy to go shopping, especially for clothes.
*Biting - Ouch! She thinks it is really hilarious for some reason. She usually just bites me, but lately has been going after Tay too. She bites and then cracks up like it is really funny. Silly girl.
For her birthday we took her to Chuck-E-Cheese and then went home for presents and cupcakes with lots of pink sprinkles. I think she had a good day. All day long she kept saying, "Happy Bur-day" because we said it to her so much-haha! What a cutie. We love our Kyla Girl!
