Taylor-isms
Taylor is in such a cute stage and is saying lots of adorable and hilarious things as of late:
*The other day as we were walking into church he tripped and fell in the grass outside the front door. As we stopped to help him up and see if he was okay he looked up at us and said, "Oh! Tackle!" This little boy loves football. :)
*We live right near to BYU campus and whenever we hear the marching band or the sounds of the stadium, Taylor calls out, "Go Tougars!" He also likes to sing the fight song and do the 'rah rah rah's at the end.
*His newest favorite show is Sesame Street. He loves to ask, "Who dat?" (actually he asks that about EVERYTHING) and his favorite characters are 'Elmbo' and 'Tookie Monster'. Every time he talks about Cookie Monster he has to pretend like he is gobbling up cookies - it is super cute.
*While riding in the car with Grandma Cindy ('Mama Cin-dee'), she said to him, "Taylor, you are such a good boy, yes you are." He enthusiastically said back, "Yes I are!"
*Whenever he is through with something (a book/a drink/etc...) he will yell out, "Thank you, welcome" over and over again really fast until I take it-haha!
*Most common thing I hear from him: "No! Tays do it!" Independent little boy... :)
*He makes his Daddy proud when he sometimes yells out: "YAY! Russia!"
*We have also had this conversation a few times:
Me: "Taylor, how do you say, 'bye' in Russian?"
Tay: "Пока!"
Me: "How do you say 'I love you' in Russian?"
Tay (with a silly grin on his face): "I love you in Russian" (actually he sounds more like, "Lah-loo in Russian")
HaHa! He is hilarious! He actually does know how to say 'я люблю мебя' pretty well.
*I often say, "Tay, where are you?" if he leaves the room I am in. Now he says it (in his shortened form) to me all the time or to toys or other random inanimate objects he is looking for: "W-are-you, Duck?" or a really loud: "Mah-zees (mommy), W-are-you?"
*Last night after shopping, I was putting away groceries and Taylor started pulling out some new outfits we just got for Kyla. He would hold them up to her and say, "Wear dat? Morrow?....No!" and then go find another one and do the same thing. He did it with every outfit. It was so cute and hilarious. :) Kyla giggled at him all through it.
This is him after he got himself all ready to 'go out' the other day - carrying Daddy's laptop case full of several mini Russian-English dictionaries, and wearing Daddy's "YU" (BYU) hat. Cute boy. He wants to be like his Dad.

The other day David had been gone at school for a lot longer than I had expected and I wondered out loud, "Where is Daddy?" Taylor excitedly announced, "Daddy play batty hoop!"
He sees David go out the door almost every day with either his basketball gear or football gear, so although I have tried to tell him that Daddy is at school most of the time, he always insists that Daddy is playing football, basketball (or volleyball sometimes) and that he wants to go watch. :)
