April Fools?
I woke up yesterday morning to snow and thought that it couldn't possibly be snowing in April, so surely it would be gone by today. Well, true to the weather report, it snowed all through the night and I woke up to this view of our backyard this lovely April morning. I think nature is playing an April Fool's joke on us. :)
This was the most disturbing part for Taylor - the ball that we played with outside a few days ago all covered in snow.
On another note - poor Taylor has been sick so many times this winter. He will just barely get over one thing when he catches something else. I think the last couple of weeks have been some of the worst of it. He started out with a terrible cough, congestion, fever, and sure enough another ear infection (3rd & worst one in 2.5 months.) Luckily - his Grandpa is an Otolaryngologist with a specialty in inner ear surgery...so he gets the best care when it comes to his ears. :) He is so good every time he gets his ears examined - my Dad cleaned out his ears this weekend to see his eardrums better and he held perfectly still the entire time. Apparently he is my Dad's best pediatric patient!
Anyway, he still has the remnants of that sickness and now he has the stomach flu. I think that is the worst sickness a little one can have. We spent all last night in a chair with me holding him (and a bowl) all scrunched up trying to sleep, but throwing up about every 30 minutes. SO sad! I hope that he gets better and stays better for a while soon. He still tries to run around & play when he is sick and doesn't rest very well, but I can tell he is exhausted.
He took this picture of himself the other day while I was trying to get through a diaper change when his ears were hurting (the pressure & pain intensifies when you lay down.) The camera distracted him for a minute...but this face makes me so sad!

His Aunt Mary got him to rest for about 5 minutes yesterday...and I think that was a record for him.

Poor Heather! Kimball had bronchiolitis 2 weeks before Cameron was born and just wanted to be held. I know how hard it is to be really pregnant with a sick little one. I hope you're getting enough rest!
We need to play. Maybe if Taylor is all better next week, we can have a play date.
