BALL

90% of the words that come from our son's mouth are "Ball" or some form of the word... i.e. 'football' or 'basketball' (bah-ball). This little guy spends most of his playtime each day shooting hoops. He actually makes most of his shots - even the crazy running ones. You can see his follow through in some of the pictures...he mostly shoots left-handed & every once in a while will use both hands, but never just the right.Whenever Tay is put into his carseat he begs for a ball...or multiple balls. He can't do anything without a ball. He even cries sometimes when I try to put him down for bed and he isn't holding one. He likes to fall asleep with a ball in his hand. This kid is obsessed!
(Thanks for your genetic contribution David... :) !) We watched Grandma play in a regional basketball game & Taylor was in shock the whole time she was out there. He kept looking at me in confusion/excitement and saying, "Ma!" while pointing to her on the court. He couldn't believe she was playing. I think she was the only grandma out there & she played really well!
(She is number 11.) A cute bonding moment when Daddy got home yesterday:
(notice the book title: 'Play Ball'...)
Taylor fell asleep at a funeral we attended last week & lasted for about 5 minutes in this position on the bench - my arms got too tired to hold him up over my belly any longer... He doesn't do well sleeping in strange places/positions, so I had to capture this rare moment. You can tell how tired he was from his creepy partially opened eye:
Taylor will give hugs & kisses sometimes, but he is not necessarily a cuddly little guy. So when he fell asleep in the car the other day, David took advantage of it & cuddled with him until he woke up:

Wow - he has better form than I do (although that isn't saying much!) from looking at those shooting pictures! What a cute kid. And I was initially trying to picture my mom out playing basketball and was having the hardest time figuring out how I had not HEARD about that! :) Good for your mom!!! Doubt I'll ever be playing on a basketball court at this point for anything other than family night.

I'm a little behind, but I love the pictures from this post and the last one. I love when we are together long enough, like on Saturday, when I get to watch him play. He was so cute with the ducks and giving Christopher hugs (even though Christopher didn't fully appreciate them). :)
He is such a cute little kid. I love that he has to have a ball with him at all times, even in bed. He is so cute on asleep on the bench!
