THE DAYTON FAMILY

Kyla is one very *girly* Girly-girl! Not only does she love clothes shopping (for others or herself - seriously, she smiles and giggles the whole time she or I am trying on clothes) she also loves painted nails. She always attacks my toes or anyone else's toes that are colorful. Today I painted her fingers and toes (no easy task) a very bright pinky-purple color. She was squealing in delight and kept pulling off her socks to play with her pretty toes. "Seriously Mom, enough pictures of my nails!" I cannot get enough of my cute girly-girl!

Last weekend we headed up to Logan to spend Saturday night with our friends, Adam & Jeanne Shelton. They are about to have their first baby and we needed to get in one more good hang out before we graduate and leave and their life gets even crazier with a new baby. It was a fun trip, David played basketball with Adam while I went to Jeanne's baby shower and then we played a game and talked (just like old times.) I forgot to get any pictures of us together, all I have from the weekend are these two of us watching the BYU basketball game at 'Aggy's Sports Grill' Here is a picture of the 4 of us together in Ukraine 5 years ago. We've had TONS of good memories with the Sheltons. Life as of late: I have 2 little sous-chefs at my house: I also have 2 little mess-makers, they like to make this mess together daily: They sure do love this barn they got for Christmas: AND the rocking horse (which David stained and coated in polyurethane): This is my favorite outfit...

On Saturday, January 29th, Brooklyn Kae Waldron was added to our Dayton family. She is Chris & Sara's 2nd baby - they also have a little boy, Christopher. She is beautiful and we are excited for another cousin & niece in our family! Today after I finished talking with Sara on the phone Taylor stated, "Christopher got a new baby. It's Brooklyn. I love Brooklyn! Yep, I love her!" Hilarious! On the last day Sara was in the hospital we got to watch Christopher for a bit. He and Tay had a blast playing in the bottom drawer (our toy drawer) of the dresser that their grandfather built. Two very handsome boys. We LOVE cousins!!!

We've been hit! David and Kyla are sick with the flu . Tay and I have not gotten it yet, but we also had the flu shot and they didn't...so hopefully we won't get it. Anyway, it's a BAD one. Sweet little Kyla was so miserable all day long today - all she wanted to do was be held. Finally I had to put her in the baby bjorn and she just laid against me for several hours. Poor baby girl. Somehow this cutest-ever picture of Kyla got deleted when I posted my last post. I LOVE her swimcover. :) So cute! In this picture she is eyeing herself in the mirror...so much like her dad - haha!

Kyla naturally loves the water & Taylor is working on it. :) He was much more adventurous when we went swimming with Uncle Daniel & Grandma last week. Tay can't get enough of his Uncle Dan. On a side note, Taylor loves building these towers for 'margles' (marbles).

A couple of weeks ago we had all of the Peterson Family together for a little while because my sister and her husband were visiting from Germany. It was nice. On January 16th, they blessed their little baby, Asher Trier, and my brother also gave his homecoming talk. It was a busy but fun-filled day with lots of extended family and friends around. While they were here we also got to watch Asher a couple of times while they went out. We had fun having cousin time. I think it's funny that these two look so different. :)

We are ready for V a l e n t i n e ' s D a y ! ! ! Sibling Love : Tay loves playing 'Hide & Seek' Kyla loves sitting on her Daddy's shoulders! She also loves to stand up and make big messes! Taylor really loves doing anything with his sister and she loves doing everything with him :) They both love baths - Kyla tries to pull herself in if she thinks I'm not getting her in fast enough. I LOVE these 3 a lot!!!!!
