Five Fabulous Years

Image
*Our Wedding Day* David and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary last Thursday, May 20th. We were married in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple on May 20, 2005. I can't believe it has already been 5 years. It has truly been wonderful and we are excited for an infinite number of years to come. *Dating* *Our Engagement Picture & Announcement* Because we have a newborn and a 22 month old, we were only able to escape for a couple of hours together, so we decided to spend them doing sealings in the temple. It was a perfect way to celebrate our anniversary. I am so grateful for such an amazing husband and that I am sealed to him for all eternity. I love him so much!!! On a sad note - David left early this morning for his 12 week interniship in Kazakhstan. I definitely have been crying lots leading up to him leaving and have been bursting into tears every so often since he left. Being away from my spouse is not something I am good at handling. I miss him so much already and can'...

Kyla Marie

Image
We welcomed Kyla Marie into our family last night, Wednesday, May 12th, at 5:51pm . She weighed in at 7 lbs 10 oz . Not very small for a week early! She is 19 inches long and has lots of dark hair. Uncle Lynn delivered her: Taylor came by to visit her soon after: He loves his baby sister!

Being Induced Today

Image
I am writing this in advance...but not letting it post until Wednesday. We are heading in Wednesday morning to be induced. I am SO nervous. I think it is scarier the second time around knowing what labor & delivery is like and also knowing how difficult it can be to care for a newborn while recovering. Plus, now I have a toddler to take care of too and a husband leaving in less than 2 weeks. Scary! Nevertheless, I am so SO SO excited to see our new baby girl and to hold her in my arms. I can't wait to introduce her to Taylor. He talks about the 'baby' and pulls out her things to look at and cuddle and say, "Aaaw" about all of the time. I know he will be an awesome big brother. I'm only just a little sad that he won't be the baby anymore. *** I got a pedicure...so I guess that makes me officially ready-haha! David & Tay resting up together in preparation for the big day... A big surprise...my sister Bonnie decided last minute to fly here from Germ...

The Zoo

Image
We went to the zoo yesterday for our last family outing until David gets home from Kazakhstan in mid-August. (Also our last outing as a family of 3.) Taylor loved it. The weather was perfect. It sprinkled on us just a little bit, but was pretty sunny for most of the time and was not crowded at all. We saw everything in under 2 hours, so that was nice. Taylor especially liked all the ducks we saw wandering around and the monkeys. He also learned how to hiss like a snake. He really liked the train too and kept pointing at everything and calling out, "choo choo!"

David's 27th Birthday

Image
Happy Birthday Daddy! (I had Taylor practice saying that over and over...then he said it all day long, it was cute!) David turned 27 this past Saturday, May 8th. We had a big BBQ for some family and friends in my parent's backyard. It was pretty fun. We had food, a trampoline, volleyball, and David's favorite - the neighbor next door let us borrow her basketball court. David also got lots of nice presents from both of our families, but he was pretty excited about these new basketball shoes: So was Taylor:
